ST.KITTS SOCA QUEEN RELEASES NEW MUSIC VIDEO

ST. KITTS – After over a decade in the soca music industry fronting various bands in St.Kitts, Anguilla and Nevis and 2 years after going solo Former Nevis Road March and St.Kitts Party Monarch Queen Shakki Starfire has finally release her first music video. The Sugar City Soca Queen released the music video for her 2011 St.Kitts Sugar Mas Groovy Soca hit “Party Plenty”

The music video of the song handpicked by Shakki was shot entirely in St.Kitts at various night spots and well known beaches and local hangouts including Club Kactus, the Cloud 9 upscale night club, Majors Bay as well as her hometown Shadwell Estate where an exciitng block party scene was shot.

The final scene of the video features her next video project which will be for her her power soca hit “We losing it” which the soca diva indicated will be shot and released during the first quarter of 2012.

“This song (and its video) definitely says it all as it shows how we party in St.Kitts and how we will party for sugar mas 2k10” said, Shakki.

“We go from party to party to party…we just party plenty,”. The Soca Queen humorously continued

Shakki said “I am glad with the final product . It was a lot of work and it was certainly an enlightening experience for me as this was just the 2ndtime that I have shot a video but the first time that a video of mine has been released.”

In 2010 Shakki shot a video for her hit “High for Carnival” but the soca diva’s desire for quality did not allow her to release the video as she was not happy with the final cut. This time around the former Road March Queen was satisfied with the production and thus we have the pleasure of viewing Shakki’s first video release in a relatively long career thus far.

The video was conceptualised by Shakki herself with production and direction by Kelvin Christopher who also produced the track.
