St. Kitts Receives Additional Flights from JFK on American Airlines this Summer

Basseterre, St. Kitts  – The St. Kitts Tourism Authority is pleased to announce that American Airlines has added Friday flights to complement its regular Wednesday and Saturday non-stop flights from JFK.  Providing more options for longer or shorter stays on island, the new JFK Friday flights will operate from Friday, June 13, 2014 through Friday, September 5, 2014.

The schedule for American Airlines’ additional Friday flights is as follows:

Flight #1430 Departs JFK at 5:00pm Arrives St. Kitts (SKB) at 9:30pm
Flight #1431* Departs St. Kitts (SKB) at 10:30am Arrives JFK at 2:55pm

* – Returns the next day, on Saturday.

“The addition of a third weekly non-stop New York to St. Kitts flight from June to August is an indicator of the ongoing positive developments in St. Kitts tourism,” said Senator Ricky Skerritt, Minister of Tourism & International Transport. “Our Summer Sunsation offer, The St. Kitts Music Festival, Nevis’ Culturama, and CPL T20 Cricket will all help to make travel to St. Kitts & Nevis a very attractive option for this summer.”

Complementing the newly added Friday non-stop flights from JFK on American Airlines, St. Kitts’ “Summer Sunsation” family offer is designed to provide more value for travelers’ money, particularly for those traveling with children.  Valid on new bookings only made between now and June 30 for travel from now through September 1, 2014, it offers the fourth and seventh nights free at participating hotels.*  Plus, kids stay free and/or eat free at most participating hotels, which include Bird Rock Beach HotelOttley’s Plantation InnSugar Bay ClubSt. Kitts Marriott Resort & Royal Beach Casino and Timothy Beach Resort.   

Travelers need only reference the “Summer Sunsation” family promotion at the time of booking.  Reservations can be made via a favorite travel provider, directly with the hotel (which can also be done via St. Kitts’ website) with air purchased separately, or reduced airfare is available on flights booked in conjunction with a stay at a participating hotel via AA Vacations or US Airways Vacations.
