St Kitts Marriott Resort & Royal Beach Casino Embodies Spirit To Serve

Marriott’s St Kitts Resort illustrates Marriott International’s “Spirit to Serve” philosophy through continuous community partnerships.

Basseterre, St. Kitts – Since opening their doors in February 2003, the St. Kitts Marriott Resort & the Royal Beach Casino has embraced Marriott’s Pledge: “We pledge that every Marriott community will be a better place to live and work because we are there”.

This year there are eight students of the Clarence Fitzroy Bryant (CFB) doing internship at the resort as the St. Kitts Marriott Resort & the Royal Beach Casino seeks to strengthen its nine year partnership with the college. The annual event assists in training the future hospitality industry leaders of St Kitts/Nevis. This St. Kitts hotel has supported the efforts of the local hospitality college throughout the years and will continue with this joint venture throughout 2015 and beyond. The students will learn the recipe for succeeding in the hospitality industry while through the practical elements of their studies in the achievement of an Associate’s Degree in Hospitality.

“We look forward to continuing our partnership with the college, as our managers are eager to share their knowledge and experiences with the students, says Marsha Norman, Manager of Human Resources. “We see this as a mutually beneficial partnership as we seek to develop talent amongst the youth on the island and prepare them for successful careers in hospitality”.

Marriott International has a proud tradition of supporting the cities, towns and neighborhoods around the globe that it calls home. “Spirit to Serve” is an intensely hands-on philosophy, based on a 75 year legacy of supporting the communities where it does business.
