Spice performs on head and leaves Reggae Sumfest fans stunned

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Dancehall artist, Spice, emerged as one of Reggae Sumfest’s top acts following her dazzling performance on Thursday night in Catherine Hall, Montego Bay.

When the “Stage Show Boss” entered the stage at 3 a.m. in a glowing led-light outfit, there was an overwhelming roar from the crowd.

Spice’s creative and well-lit entrance has since been hailed by fans at the venue and across social media as the night’s best.

Not to be outdone, Spice also delivered well-known hits and recently crafted lyrics much to the delight of fans, including a remake of Vybz Kartel’s Money Pon Mi Brain, followed by a hard-hitting social commentary piece, and other favourites: So Mi Like It, Back Bend, Needle Eye, Conjugal Visit and Romping Shop.

However, prior to exiting the stage with a stage show single, Check the Judge, Spice left tongues further wagging when she performed while balancing on her head. A Reggae Sumfest first.

Spice says, “It makes me feel good to know that the fans appreciate my creativity. As for deejaying while on my head, I wanted to do something else that had never been done before at Sumfest because fans came from so many places and I wanted them to have a great time. And I really love the element of surprise and so do the fans. I really appreciate the love following the performance.”
