Spa Esencia Gets Fit For ‘Lime’ and Carnival in Trinidad

PORT OF SPAIN, Trinidad – Last Monday, Spa Esencia launched its first in a series of ‘LIME’ Fitness Challenges in preparation for Carnival 2011. Approximately 80 fitness enthusiasts participated in the event, which was held from 5:00 – 6:00 pm at the Waterfront, near the Breakfast Shed.

The 2011 Carnival Fitness Challenge is a free, one-hour, outdoor aerobics event open to novice and experienced athletes alike and takes place on Mondays and Wednesdays for three weeks – January 24 to February 9. Spa Director Safyie Reid said, “We’re getting ready to celebrate Hyatt Regency Trinidad’s ‘LIME’ fete on March 2, and our main focus is to encourage good health and overall well-being.”

International Personal Trainer, Aerobics Instructor and Massage Therapist Brent Elder, is the lead fitness guru who challenges all participants to keep up with him. Sponsors of the Spa Esencia ‘LIME’ Fitness Challenge are Blue Waters, Gatorade, Nestle, Ginseng-Up and Dorst Cereal. Samples of beverages, energy drinks, nutritious smoothies and cereals are available to those who participate and lucky participants of the challenge are also treated to prizes and hampers from Spa Esencia and the other sponsors.
