South Florida’s Caribbean Saturdays radio program moves to WZAM 880 AM

MIAMI – Caribbean Saturdays Radio program on WKAT 1360 AM have moved to WZAB 880 AM beginning on Saturday, October 4, 2008.

The trio of Don Daly, Mike Andrews and Eddy Edwards will continue to broadcast their programs from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm.

South Florida Caribbean Sports Line will also be aired at 7:00 pm.

Caribbean Upliftment Program 9am-12pm

Caribbean Upliftment Program hosted by Don Daly will air 9am – 12pm. The program is packed with news and sports from around the Caribbean plus a bit of gospel and oldies music. Weekly features include Pass It On, a brief vignette of Jamaican history, Jamaica Link with Ronnie Graham reporting from Jamaica on the latest developments from the island. There is always a top Caribbean businessperson on hand to analyze the latest business developments in the region.

Caribbean Connection 12pm-3pm

Caribbean Connection with Mike Andrews’ airs from
12pm – 3pm, features the best of Calypso and Soca. The beat of Carnivals – wherever they are – can be heard with up to date information on Caribbean Entertainment and other cultural tidbits. A weekly synopsis of news around the Caribbean is one of the popular features of the show. The program was once voted Best Caribbean program by The New Times.


Eddy Edwards

Caribbean Riddims 3pm-6pm

Caribbean Riddims with Eddy Edwards airs 3pm – 6pm, and continues the tropical beat. This high-energy reggae intensive program is the place to hear the newest releases and get the latest developments in the world of reggae. Popular entertainers and other guests frequent the program with updates on the entertainment scene.

Features include D’ Peoples Politics with attorney Marlon Hill, an update on elections and community issues, In My Opinion – commentary by Eddie Fredrick, the Liquid Lounge with Ken English for diving enthusiast and the Retro Revolution, a 30-minute music mix of classic hits presented by County Line Chiropractic Centers.
