South Florida radio station to host forum to help home owners hold on to their homes

HOLLYWOOD – South Florida’s # 1 Radio Station HOT 105 will present its first annual “Home Preservation Forum” on Saturday, April 5th at the Fort Lauderdale Airport Hilton
located at 1870 Griffin Road in Dania Beach.

The forum is aimed to provide expert information to prevent and help homeowners facing or in the process of foreclosure.

HOT 105 along with the Broward Housing & Community Development Task force will offer one on one counseling, seminars, and home preservation assistance.

Credit counselors, loan services, and lenders will also offer on-site assistance and information on options available to help attendees stay in their home. Attendees should bring their loan documents and other relevant financial information to the event.

The HOT 105 Home Preservation Forum will be hosted by Rodney Baltimore of the Tom Joyner morning show. Broward County Mayor Lois Wexler will be on hand to welcome the attendees. O

ther guests include Phillip Gioeli of Washington Mutual who will present Freddie Mac’s Keys to Home Ownership, HUD representative Judy Ayers will discuss the FHA secure loan and Brenda Cleaver of H.O.P.E. will discuss fair housing practices and predatory lending.

Kristina Fausel with the Broward Housing & Community Development Task force says “This will be a great event for the residents to receive the kind of information that will send them in the right direction and assist them to bring their individual situation to a positive end.”
