South Florida Mayors Announce Help for Homeowners as NACA Returns to South Florida

North Miami – Local mayors are excited about the return of the Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America (NACA) to South Florida with their mortgage modification marathon which offers assistance to homeowners facing possible foreclosure.

North Miami Mayor Andre D. Pierre, the North Miami City Council and Carmen Orta, Regional Director of NACA, held a joint press conference on Thursday (April 8) at the North Miami City Hall, 776 NE 125 Street, in the Council Chambers (second floor). They were joined by Mayor Roxanna Ross of Biscayne Park, Mayor Joyce Davis of El Portal, Mayor Peter Bober of Hollywood, Mayor Barrington A. Russell., Sr. of Lauderdale Lakes, Mayor Shirley Gibson of Miami Gardens, Mayor Myron Rosner of North Miami Beach, and other elected officials who look forward to the immediate assistance that NACA is able to provide to homeowners across South Florida.

NACA’s Save Our Dream of Homeownership tour offers a one-stop shop to assist homeowners facing foreclosure and unaffordable mortgage payments. NACA is a nonprofit organization that offers free counseling and face-to-face contact with lender representatives – a rare opportunity for homeowners. NACA returns to South Florida after more than 24,000 homeowners attended a February mortgage-modification marathon in West Palm Beach. The next event — a five day, 24 hour-per-day mortgage modification marathon — will be held at the Miami Beach Convention Center from Thursday, April 15th – Monday, April 19th.

NACA enables thousands of homeowners to work out mortgage modifications on the spot. NACA’s Save the Dream event offers long-term affordable payments at reduced interest rates to as low as 2%, in some cases the outstanding principal is reduced (i.e. NACA Restructure.)

Homeowners facing foreclosure should pre-register for the Save the Dream tour by visiting www.NACA.com or by calling 1-888-499-6222.
