South Florida Caribbean-American publishes new novel, “Unrealistic Expectations”

FT. LAUDERDALE – A new novel featuring, an exciting, passionate, romantic fictional story about South Floridian couples caught up in the struggles of romantic relationships while trying to live normal lives was written by Caribbean American, Garth Rose.

Do we expect too much from love? Women, do you find it too difficult to forgive your man if he cheated, even once? Do you believe that no man, not even your husband can ever be faithful? Do you seek a perfect relationship? Or, are you a woman that does not care whose man you take? Men- did you cheat, make a mistake but are perpetually in the dog-house, never forgiven? Are you being accused of cheating, when you never did, because you simply totally love your woman? These are all questions and issues faced in our respective relationships. Issues dealt with in Garth A. Rose’s just released romance fiction, “Unrealistic Expectations.”

Perhaps from the beginning of time, and certainly from the beginning of the Western World, one perennial characteristic of romantic liaisons has been that of possessiveness. It has become the norm for lovers, generally, to expect total fidelity from and seek to have ownership of each other.

It is unfortunate that so many relationships, no matter how satisfactory and happy they are, come to a sudden and premature end because one of the two people involved cannot come to accept the fact that the other individual cheated. Damn! The world is filled with so many broken hearts, souls and homes, because of the refusal to see an indiscretion as a simple, momentary human failing, and not a testimony by the guilty individual that he or she have fallen out of love with their significant other.

‘Unrealistic expectations’ is the story of the sometime futility of romantic relationships. It is the story of individuals who despite being deeply in love with great partners sabotaged their relationships because they found it impossible to love realistically.

Individuals who found it difficult to trust or to accept the indiscretions of those they love; and more importantly, to be able to forgive and forget. It is a story of Individuals who suffered great pain because of their unrealistic expectations.
