Six Flags welcomes Soca King

NEW YORK – Fans of soca music and patrons at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, New Jersey will be in for a special treat on Saturday, July 12th when Trinidad’s soca king Machel Montano blasts his sounds into the park.

Machel, along with his complete HD Band, and joined by solo artists Patrice Roberts, Farmer Nappy, Zan and Walker, will be enticing the crowd with fan favorites and new hits. It is a rare appearance for any Caribbean artist in a theme park in North America, and Machel is excited about bringing his music to both a familiar and new audience, with the hundreds of adventure-seekers who will either attend the show or be within earshot of its sounds.

TEMPO TV will be covering the show for air throughout the Caribbean, and TEMPO’s President and CEO, Frederick Morton, says with an entertainer of his caliber, it will be a time like no other. “Machel Montano is the real deal -100 percent high definition,” states Morton. “He raises the tempo like no other artist. Caribbean people get ready to feel the tempo – the undisputed soca king of the world is coming to blaze the trail.”

A concert ticket guarantees complimentary entry to the theme park, so show promoters are presenting and promising a fun, family day at the park. “We are extremely proud to promote Machel Montano to the Northeast’s largest theme park, Six Flags Great Adventure,” says event organizer Hector Carter, Director of CCB International, Inc. “The soca king of the world has truly raised the bar and repeatedly creates some of the best music from the Caribbean. Soca lovers are traveling from as far west as California to attend this event.” (RHONA FOX, INC.)
