Road closures in the City of Miami Gardens for Miami’s largest Caribbean Carnival

MIAMI GARDENS – The City of Miami Gardens will be host to the 2010 Miami Carnival, which will be held on Sunday, October 10th, 2010, at SunLife Stadium. This event will include a carnival street parade along NW 199th Street between NW 37th Avenue and NW 26th Avenue in the City of Miami Gardens.

The City of Miami Gardens considers the quality of life of our residents a top priority and wants to ensure that all of our residents are well informed about the anticipated street closures and the impact traffic may have on travel and or personal plans on this date.

The staging for the parade will start at 8:00 a.m. and it is anticipated that parade participants will occupy NW 199th Street beginning at NW 37th Avenue. The eastbound lanes of NW 199th Street will be closed to traffic starting at 8:00 a.m. and will reopen at approximately 6:00 p.m.

If you plan to travel on the roadways listed, you may want to consider taking alternate routes. The City of Miami Gardens Police Department will make sure residents have access to their homes at all times.
