KINGSTON, Jamaica – The rebirth of Reggae Sunsplash, August 3-6, 2006 in St. Ann, Jamaica has set the entire entertainment industry abuzz. Everyone is talking about the return of the greatest Reggae Festival in the world. The artists, both local and international are thrilled with the opportunity to participate in the Reggae music festival credited with launching Reggae music, creating “the Reggae superstar” and expanding Jamaican culture across the globe.

Grammy winner, “King of the Dancehall,” Bennie man who was one of the first acts to confirm stated, “The return of Sunsplash shows how Jamaica can come back and unite as one… which means more strength, more power, and more international.”

In order to remain true to the spirit of Sunsplash there will be something for everyone over four nights; roots and culture, ‘higher love’, hardcore, as well as our heroes, warriors and the stars of tomorrow. Some top performers confirmed include Elephant man, Vybz Kartel, Bounty Killer, Morgan Heritage, Luciano, Gregory Issacs and Maxi Priest.

Sunsplash will be an experience that combines not just 56 hours or Reggae music but arts and crafts and 100 acres of easily accessible marking on one of the most gorgeous locations on the island. Richmond Estate in St. Ann will be the ultimate backdrop to stage the world’s greatest, original Reggae festival…where nature and music unite.
