Reggae Songtress Etana Delivers At Sting

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Sting patrons saw a stellar performance from the strong one. She left the stage a few minutes after 5am emerging the most dominant of the female acts and measuring up with the overall performances of the night. Packaged with the headlining acts, “the 13 Warriors”, she brought fire works to the stage saving the day with a complete 30 minute set delivered in fine style. Responses roared from the crowd as she disbursed her latest and greatest, with hit after hit.

The warrior princess was neatly clad in full black, rocking her signature Raw Soul attire. The singer was in warrior mode making up for the previous year’s technical difficulties that forced her into an unplanned a cappella stint.

She worked the stage vigorously and connected with her fans. The favorites for the night were, “Free”, “Blessings” and “Wrong Address”, they all received full forward. Chants for an encore resonated in the venue.

All in all, Etana delivered a wonderful and exuberant performance and is now poised to close out the year on a soaring note. She heads into a very busy 2011 with the release of her highly anticipated sophomore album, “Free Expressions”.

Her first movie role also drops in the New Year, with the movie, “Ghetta’Life”. A promotional tour of the US is already on her hectic calendar along with a long list of other international performances and appearances. The courageous but humble character she’s known for, moves forward gracefully in keeping up the spirit of reggae music globally.
