FT. LAUDERDALE – Veteran reggae performer and international Good Word Artist ™, FYAH WYAH, will release his new album “Love in the Air” on Sunday, March 2 from 6 to 9 pm at MertoCafe on the Las Olas Riverfront in Ft. Lauderdale.
In celebration of the spirit of the album to spread love, good words, and good works, the March 2 performance is also a charity fundraiser for the Jamaican Children’s Heart Fund, a 501c3 medical charity that provides pediatric open heart surgery to children in critical need on the island of Jamaica – www.jamaicanchildrensheartsurgery.org
Donations are $20 at the door and include an autographed copy of FYAH WYAH’s “Love in the Air “ CD. A $45 donation includes an all-you-can-eat Jamaican Food Buffet with authentic entrees, side dishes, salad, and desert. FYAH WYAH has been restoring hope and bringing renewal to audiences through his music and spoken word performances for more than 25 years. The new CD’s single “Good Words” is climbing global charts and expresses the belief that “words alone can heal you, words alone can build you, words
alone can make you great.” Having traveled worldwide with the likes of Eek-A-Mouse, Alpha Bondy, Steel Pulse, Don Carlos, Freedy McGregor, Big Mountain, Junior Reid and others, FYAH WYAH believes the “time has come for reggae to once again motivate the world in positive, global ways.”
FYAH is currently scheduling performances, motivational workshops at school and churches, and special charity events throughout Florida for 2008.
