Rain Forces Tempo Turns 3 Concert To Be Rescheduled
ST. KITTS – The Tempo Turns 3 concert scheduled for Friday, September 19, 2008, at the FM Entertainment Grounds has been re-scheduled to Saturday, September 20th, due to the recent storms in the St. Kitts-Nevis area.
Severe thunderstorms on Wednesday night dumped some 3 inches of rain on the area and caused damage in many areas.
`Rain is God’s work, a wonderful expression of his love. And so we accept that God wanted Tempo to celebrate Tempo Turns 3 on Saturday, instead of Friday,` said Frederick Morton, Tempo CEO. `We are regrouping and getting the venue in even better shape than before the storm.`
Morton, however, added, `All of our scheduled artists are here on the ground in Nevis and ready to go, including: Daville, Wayne Marshall, Etana, Mr. King, Ziggy Rankin, Mighty Sparrow, Patrice Roberts, and Machel Montano. Machel, for example, just landed and is on fire already. Other artists are coming in by the morning. We encourage everyone who hasn’t already, to go out and get their tickets for Saturday night.`
On Friday due to the holiday, tickets for Tempo Turns 3 can be purchased from the following locations: St. Kitts: Sugarbowl at ZIZ radio, GQ from WINN RM radio or Valerie Morton at St. Kitts Marriott.
Nevis: Ticket box offices at the FM Entertainment Grounds at Longpoint Road and the entrance of Bath Village will be open from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saint James’ Drag Race Track, Sharon Tyrell & Lydia Parris at Horsfords, Denick Liburd, Shailene Martin, Andre Slater, and Yahsonn. Or, call the Mortons at 469-3595.
TEMPO Turns 3 is sponsored by Nevis Cultural Development Foundation; Cable and Wireless; Liat; Nelson’s Springs Condo; Treetop Apartments; Hard Beat Communications; Carib Beer; Lefco; RBTT; Bank of Nevis.
