Prime Minister of Trinidad & Tobago, Kamla Persad Bissessar to meet with supporters in Florida

MIAMI – On May 24, 2010 history was made when the Honourable Kamla Persad-Bisssessar was elected as the first female Prime Minister of Trinidad and Tobago.

Now, here is your chance to meet the person who is at the centre of this milestone. UNC Florida Inc. is honored to be hosting the Honorable Prime Minister and they are cordially extending an invitation to the Trinidad and Tobago nationals and friends of living in the South Florida community to be part of this exciting event.

The event will be held on Friday, July 9th 2010 at the Warehouse Ballroom in Lauderhill for a Cultural Evening in honor of the Prime Minister of Trinidad & Tobago.

Her visit comes at a time when many Trinidad and Tobago nationals living in Florida and the US continue to celebrate the phenomenal victory at the polls in May. The Prime Minister recognizes the important role which friends and supporters in Florida and the US played in the elections and is looking forward to next week when she can say thank you in person.

Prime Minister Persad-Bissessar was here in January and April of this year for receptions and fundraisers also organized by UNC Florida Inc. UNC Florida Inc. was the first party group outside of Trinidad and Tobago to host Prime Minister Persad-Bissessar before she was the Political leader of the UNC and later as the Opposition Leader and Leader of the UNC.
