Organic Love on stage at Miramar Cultural Center

MIRAMAR – Organic Love, a heartfelt romantic comedy that toys with and tests the modern notions of love, will be presented by Lil’ Haiti’s 80 Minute Productions on Friday, July 12 and Saturday, July 13 at 8 p.m. at the Miramar Cultural Center | ArtsPark.

Written and directed by 80 Minute Productions CEO and co-founder Damien McKnight, Organic Love eclipses the boundaries of urban romance set in Miami’s hip Brickell community. The gripping story unfolds with entrepreneurial lovers Tyson and Ebony pouring their life savings into the Organic Diner. The lovers’ worlds are rocked when it’s revealed that Tiffany’s first love, an NFL star, is one of the restaurant’s silent investors. Tyson finds himself at a crossroads, trying to decide if taking the money was a mistake and wondering if it will cost him the diner and Tiffany.

McKnight is a Miami native and author of Lil Haiti: The Untold Story, Lil Haiti: Love thy Neighbor, Organic Love and A Woman’s Worth. He currently is working on his next play, Share my Pain.

Against the backdrop of Lil’ Haiti, 80 Minute Productions was founded in 2011 by McKnight and childhood friend Gibson Pierre. United by tales of struggle and triumph, while growing up in the center of Haitian culture in Miami, they shared their collective memories to ignite fresh stories of courage and passion, laced with satire. 80 Minute Productions has a common theme: entertainment blending education with comedy and passion in stories that captivate audiences of all ages.

Organic Love stars Paul Antoine, Marly Walters, Andre “AnRo” Rollins, Kenny Daniels, Natalie Wesley and Will Des, Jr.

Antoine, a Miami Native with Haitian roots, fell in love with acting when he first stepped on stage with 80 Minute Productions. His credits include Mr. Jean in the hit play Loose Lips, opening for Benji Brown’s Kiki On The Run Comedy Tour, His Double Life, Organic Love and Pain Behind The Collar.

Originally from Connecticut, Walters is a graduate of the University of Miami and has been acting since age nine. Becoming part of the local acting scene, she also has appeared in 80 Minute Productions’ A Woman’s Worth.
