Miami – In memory of the recent passing of patriarch, Mr. William Lue, Ocho Rios Foods and the Lue Family has established The Ocho Rios Foundation for Ethical Leadership, a charitable fund held with The Miami Foundation, to support and promote ethical leadership, entrepreneurship, and innovation among disenfranchised youth in Jamaica, the Caribbean and the United States.
Mr. William Lue, an emigrant to Jamaica from Guangdong, China in 1963, was an avid self- taught visual artist and entrepreneur. His son, Aston, joined the grandparents in Kingston in 1958. The family migrated to the United States in 1986.
Under the auspices of The Miami Foundation, the Foundation will endeavor to inspire youth to pursue entrepreneurship in learning the basics of business, ethics, leadership and innovation. “My father inspired a life of humility and dedication to his family. We aspire to honor his legacy through the work of this Foundation for generations ahead,” stated, Aston Lue, CEO of Ocho Rios‐Miami, Inc and Ocho Rios Atlanta, Inc.
