New Wyndham Hotel Opens in Jamaica

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Wyndham Hotels and Resorts, LLC, a subsidiary of Wyndham Worldwide Corporation (NYSE: WYN), has expanded in the Caribbean with the opening of the 303-room-and-suite Wyndham Kingston Jamaica.

Just ten miles from Jamaica’s Norman Manley International Airport, the Wyndham Kingston Jamaica is located in the heart of the capital city’s financial and diplomatic district on the southern coast of the Caribbean island, making it an ideal home base for business and leisure travelers.

Owned by Ocean Chimo, the Wyndham Kingston Jamaica will undergo extensive renovations of the hotel’s public spaces and guest rooms to further enhance the guest experience and meet Wyndham standards. The hotel will be managed by Wyndham Hotels and Resorts.

The hotel is situated on seven-and-a-half acres overlooking Emancipation Park and is within close proximity to many of the area’s top attractions, including championship golf courses, the National Gallery, the Bob Marley Museum and Castleton Botanical Gardens, located on the banks of the Wag Water River.

Guests have convenient access to retail and couture shopping in the hotel’s lobby, on-site car rental and tour desks, business center and complimentary on-site parking. Guests also can relax at the property’s Olympic-size outdoor swimming pool, soak in the poolside hot spa Jacuzzi® or maintain their fitness routines at its health club and sauna.

Floor-to-ceiling windows in the bright, airy guest rooms offer garden or city views of Jamaica’s scenic landscape from their personal balconies. Additional guest room amenities include 27-inch televisions, spacious work desks, coffee makers, in-room dining and high-speed Internet access, as well as three-jet massage showers.

Guests looking for ample meeting and event space in Kingston will find over 16,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, including the 10,000-square-foot Grand Independence Ballroom, which can accommodate up to 1,200 people for a variety of meetings and events. Top-of-the-line audiovisual and lighting equipment is available on-site and professional staff helps organize all event details.

The hotel offers authentic Caribbean cuisine and international fare at its multiple on-site restaurants, bars and cafés.
