NBC’s Jenna Wolfe returns to Rhythms of the Caribbean Ball

NEW YORK – Caribbean rhythms meet elegance in a dream event at New York’s Plaza Hotel in June as the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO) hosts a new and improved ball to bring a dazzling end to Caribbean Week in New York 2011.

And, to add to the allure, the energetic and appealing NBC Sunday Today host, Jenna Wolfe, returns as host for the third straight year, having thrilled attendees over the past two years.

“We are extremely excited to have Jenna, a committed daughter of the Caribbean, bring her ebullient personality to the ball for yet another year,” said Sylma Brown Bramble, CTO’s director of marketing for the Americas.

Dubbed “An Evening of Elegance,” the Rhythms of the Caribbean Ball brings together the best of two of the most anticipated events at Caribbean Week in New York – Rum & Rhythm and the Governments of the Caribbean State Ball – in a single activity.

“By combining the finest elements of the highly popular Rum & Rhythm and the very desirable State Ball, we have created a fun, yet high class event that captures the true spirit and magic of the Caribbean,” added Ms. Brown Bramble.

The Rhythms of the Caribbean Ball is open to the public and proceeds benefit the non-profit CTO Foundation, which grants annual scholarships to Caribbean nationals pursuing careers in tourism.
