BRADES, Montserrat – Montserrat will host the British Virgin Islands (BVI) Cricket Team for two 20/20 cricket matches against the Montserrat Cricket Team on December 13 and 14 at the newly built Little Bay Cricket Ground in the north of the island.
“We are proud to host the BVI Cricket team as we continue to elevate cricket once again to the top of the sporting agenda in Montserrat. In 2008 we hosted teams from Antigua and the US Virgin Islands. In March of 2009, the inaugural British Overseas 20/20 Cricket Tournament is being planned for Montserrat,” said Gregory Willock, President of the Montserrat Cricket Association. “We are exceptionally proud of our own Lionel Baker, who just recently became the first Montserratian to make the senior West Indies Cricket Team,” added Willock.
