Miami Dolphins Foundation to Present $50,000 Donation to City of Miami Gardens

Miami-Dolphins-Foundation-New-Logo-2013MIAMI GARDENS – The Miami Dolphins Foundation, in conjunction with an NFL Foundation grant, will donate $50,000 to the City of Miami Gardens to renovate Lester Brown Park and Brentwood Pool in Miami Gardens. The presentation will be made during the team’s season finale against the New York Jets on Sunday, Dec. 28, 2014. The presentation will be made at halftime.

Miami Dolphins President & CEO Tom Garfinkel will be on hand to present a check to Mayor Oliver G. Gilbert III of the City of Miami Gardens.

The donation will improve both parks with the creation of a new outdoor exercise station, re-sodding of the practice field, expansion of the walking trail and new fencing around the park perimeter. Additionally, a new landscaping and irrigation system will be installed along with a new video surveillance system. Furthermore, the Miami Dolphins Play 60 logo will be displayed at park entrances, reminding kids to play for at least 60 minutes a day. Both parks are located within a five-mile radius of Sun Life Stadium.
