Miami-Dade Chamber of Commerce to Hold Annual Business Leaders Luncheon

MIAMI – The Miami-Dade Chamber of Commerce will hold their Annual Business Leaders Luncheon on Friday, March 14, 2014. The event takes place from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. at the Hyatt Regency, located at 400 SE 2nd Avenue in Miami, Florida. The keynote speaker is Neisen O. Kasdin, Managing Partner for Akerman LLP.

“We are very excited about this year’s Annual Business Leaders Luncheon,” says Ricardo Forbes, Board Chair for the Miami-Dade Chamber. “This is our opportunity to acknowledge and recognize the business and community leaders that are pillars in their profession. We encourage everyone to come out and join us for this event.”

Neisen Kasdin serves as the office managing partner of Akerman’s Miami office and practices in the areas of land use and zoning, public-private partnerships, local government law, and procurement.

Kasdin was involved in the revitalization of South Beach through his service as chair of the Community Development Corporation for South Beach and as a City Commissioner and Mayor of Miami Beach. He is Governor and Trustee of the Urban Land Institute. He currently serves as Vice Chair of the Board of Directors for the Miami Downtown Development Authority and as immediate past Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the New World Symphony. Kasdin has been recognized by Chambers USA and The Legal 500 as one of the leading land use lawyers in Florida.

Tickets for the event are $55 per person for members; $65 for non-members; and $750 for a corporate table. The leading sponsor for the event is WLRN FM/TV. The Miami-Dade Chamber of Commerce is Florida’s oldest and largest Black Chamber. Established in 1974, its mission is to bring the business community together to exchange goods and services, and to promote interaction and communication mutually beneficial to all businesses involved.
