Miami Children’s Hospital Pediatric Specialty Services Again Ranked Among the Best in the Nation

MIAMI – Nine Miami Children’s Hospital (MCH) pediatric specialty services are ranked among the best in the nation, according to U.S.News & World Report’s 2014-15 “America’s Best Children’s Hospitals” rankings, which were posted online today.

Once again, MCH has more programs included in the pediatric rankings than any other hospital in Florida. In addition, two MCH programs are ranked among the top 10 in the nation. Miami Children’s is the only hospital in Florida with programs included among the top 10 in pediatric subspecialties assessed by U.S. News.

MCH 2014-15 rankings are as follows:

— Pediatrics: Neurology & Neurosurgery (#8)
— Pediatrics: Neonatology (#10)
— Pediatrics: Pulmonology (#14)
— Pediatrics: Diabetes & Endocrinology (#17)
— Pediatrics: Orthopedics (#18)
— Pediatrics: Cardiology & Heart Surgery (#26)
— Pediatrics: Gastroenterology & GI Surgery (#30)
— Pediatrics: Urology (#32)
— Pediatrics: Nephrology (#43)

For the 2014-15 rankings, U.S. News sent surveys to 183 pediatric centers to obtain clinical data in 10 specialties and asked 150 pediatric specialists in each specialty where they would send children requiring advanced care.
