Mercedes Benz of Miami & Kiwanis Club of Miami Gardens Presents – Taste in the Gardens
Miami Gardens – The Miami Gardens Kiwanis Club and Mercedes Benz of Miami have partnered together to present the organization’s first annual Taste in the Gardens – Food & Wine Tasting event in the City of Miami Gardens on Thursday evening, May 19, 2011 from 7:00 – 10:00 PM at the new Mercedes Benz of Miami showroom, located at 1200 NW 167th Street, Miami Gardens.
The evening will include a silent auction and feature tasty delights from King Foods, Desirable Delights, Cancun Grill, Crazy fork Catering, El Pimiento Restaurant, Casavanna Cuban Cuisine, Jamon Jamon Jamon, La Trattoria Pampered Chef, Reed’s Catering, Bring Organics Back, Italy Today, Betty’s Baked Goods, Rum Cake Factory, Tropical Catering, Edible Arrangements, D’ocassions Catering, and Miami Broward One Carnival, Jamaican Jerk Spice Cuisine,. Wine & Spirits will be provided by Brown Forman’s – Gentleman Jack, Conjure Cognac, PRP Wine International, and Beam Global Spirits. Aroma Espresso will provide a variety of coffee drinks to sample with the sweets treats for the evening. Piaget Luxury Jeweler of Bal Harbor Shops is the official water sponsor for the inaugural Taste in the Gardens.
In addition to the delectable cuisine on display guests will have an opportunity to relax in the El Dorado Cigar Lounge where the furniture maker will have on display their new collection of indoor outdoor furniture. Entertainment will be provided by Brass King Entertainment and a live performance by South Florida’s own, John Sax who will perform throughout the evening from various locations in the beautiful showroom.
Mercedes Benz of Miami will have several of their new E-Class and S-Class models on display and available for a test drive for interested guests who are shopping for a new or pre-owned luxury vehicle.
The Kiwanis Club of Miami Gardens has been instrumental in improving the lives of residents in the City of Miami Gardens through their various initiatives throughout the year. Since 2008 the Miami
Gardens Kiwanis Club has purchased and delivered new appliances to families during the Christmas Holidays, provided books to over 1000 Miami Gardens students, and assisted over 250 local children by purchasing back to school supplies and clothing. Additionally the Kiwanis Club of Miami Gardens have provided a Holiday Shopping experience in conjunction with the City of Miami Gardens Police Department “Shop with a Cop” Program to over 300 local youth and awarded over $8000 in college scholarships to high school graduating seniors. Currently the organization is planning to increase the amount of the educational scholarships to $1,500 for each student up from $1000 the organization has previously awarded to deserving students.

The cost of admission to the Taste in the Gardens is $35.00 per person and all proceeds will benefit the Kiwanis Club of Miami Gardens Scholarship Fund.
