M. Gill & Associates Awarded $1.25M By U.S. Dept. of Commerce

SOUTH FLORIDA –  The U.S. Department of Commerce awards $1.25 million to M. Gill & Associates to operate the new MBDA Global Business Center in Florida.

U.S. Department of Commerce’s Joann Hill, Chief of the Office of Business Development at the MBDA in Washington DC, will use her luncheon keynote remarks at the October 14th MEDWeek Conference, to announce the MBDA’s award of $1.25 million to M. Gill & Associates, to support the delivery of technical assistance services to Florida’s minority business enterprises (MBEs).

“We selected M. Gill & Associates, which was the most experienced bidder with a track record of capability and accomplishment, from a national search to launch the MBDA’s newest initiative—one of only four Business Centers nationwide, that will provide services to grow minority firms, domestically as well as help to aggressively increase their global competitiveness, Hill said.”

No stranger to the MBDA Programs, M. Gill & Associates has Operated the MBDA Business Center in South Florida for 15 years from January 2002 to March 31, 2016, and has grown that program to become the number one performing Center, of the nearly 50 Centers throughout the U.S. Owner and president, Marie Gill is well known in Florida and across the region, for her stellar service to the community and for nurturing and growing hundreds of small, minority and women-owned businesses for nearly 30 years.

At the MEDWeek Awards Power Lunch that will honor eight outstanding MBEs, Ms. Hill will bring the federal government’s message to the Conference, encouraging minority-owned businesses to take advantage of exporting opportunities with support from the new Exporting Project, and the tool box of resources now available to M. Gill & Associates, and to the MBEs to be served under its new MBDA Business Center.

The MEDWeek Business Matchmaker Conference will begin with a VIP Kick-Off Reception, October 13th from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Lauderhill Performing Arts Center.  On October 14th, the Conference will feature 16 presenters, with an array of resources, including over $4.8 billion in business contractual opportunities, as well as financing and exporting leads to attendees.
