Kids 4 Obama: A Family Festival For Change – Oct 26

MIAMI – Parents in Miami-Dade understand that change during this presidential election is badly needed, not only for themselves, but also for their children and their children’s future. That is why Women for Obama-Miami and Mayor Manny Diaz are hosting a special free and open-to-the-public event called Kids 4 Obama: A Family Festival for Change on Sunday, October 26 from noon to 6p.m. at Peacock Park in Coconut Grove (2820 McFarlane Road).

Politics can be serious stuff, but this event is packed with nothing but FUN!!! Activities include a special performance by Nestor Torres, YES WE CAN Children’s Arts & Crafts Village, Change Obstacle Course and Bounce House, Video for Change tent, Obama Boutique, Smokey the Clown, steel pan lessons featuring Samuel Johnston, vocalists eight year old Sofia Zamboli, thirteen year old Elisa Diaz and fifteen year old Cafidia Stuart, The Big Blue & You Foundation featuring kids TV show host Danni, kids art demonstrations and lessons by Phil Fung, pop artist and winner finalist for MoveOn.org’s Manifest Hope Gallery contest and muralist and visual artist Reality, food, arts & crafts vendors and more!

Obama supporter Miami Mayor Manny Diaz comments “We look to our children, to their futures, and to a man who, as President, will restore their hopes and dreams of a life better than our own.”
