Joe Fraser Records celebrates 30 years in the business

MIRAMAR – On Saturday, March 24 you can join with friends, family and fans of great Reggae music, for a musical showcase that will tantalize your taste buds and satisfy the cravings of your musical soul!

All for One Promotions and Joe Fraser Records will present the Joe Fraser Anniversary Dance at the Walter C. Young Center, 901 N.W. 129th Avenue, Pembroke Pines on Saturday, March 24. The doors to this spectacular event will open at 8:30 p.m. and the show starts at 10:00 p.m.

Performing live will be, Roger Robin, Lloyd Brown, Donna Marie, Screwdriver, Tarrus Riley, Dean Fraser, and a special surprise guest, all backed by the Millennium Band.

British born singer Roger Robin was the breakthrough artist of 2006. With the hit song “Take It Slow,” Robin followed its success with the memorable album of the same title that includes other favorites such as the Chicago classic, “Hard to Say I’m Sorry,” John Holt’s “Memories by the Score,” and “My God is Real,” on the Waiting in Vain riddim. “Harbouring Love,” is his current hit single and is sure to go down a treat on this special celebration night.

Lloyd Brown hit the airwaves with songs such as “Bless Me,” “Main Squeeze,” and “Bongo Nyah.” He has risen to the pinnacle of his career and is hailed as one of the UK’s best ever Reggae singer/songwriters. He will also be doing his thing on March 24, wowing the fans that thrive on the best of the best.

Tarrus Riley is riding high from the runaway singles “Beware,” and “Stay With You.” His brand new album, which also includes the popular “She’s Royal, is an indication of just what this young artist is truly capable of, and with his musical heritage firmly in his heart – it’s not just blood that runs through his veins – its music!

Screwdriver’s new album is ready to be released in the next quarter. Entitled Roadblock, it will include the hit songs “Mad Man Deh Yah,” and “Owe We,” on the Joe Fraser Production label. Known for his many hits over the years, the man behind “Sharon Yuh Pregnant (No Mama),” and “Let Me Remind You,” will represent and defend his musical style without any pretence or apology.

Donna Marie has been in the business for many, many years, with several hit songs throughout Europe. This will be her first visit to the sunshine state and her first chance to deliver her songs like, “Breakfast in Bed,” “Think Twice,” and “What You Gonna Do,” from the Loving Pauper Meets Hypocrite album. The Bob Marley classic “Rock My Boat,” is also amongst her fans’ favorites.

The award winning ‘King of the Saxophone’, Dean ‘Cannon’ Fraser will be lending his instrument to the night’s proceedings. Listen out for songs from his “Sax of Life,” album, as well as many others. With over 20 years in the business, he has supported many of his peers, as well as released his own musical projects – the celebration would not be complete without him.

Emcees on the night include John T – WAVS 1170AM, Sir Rockwell – Lynks FM and Lady English – Hot 105FM, and music will be provided by Rainbow Disco with Desmond and Charley. Bigga Boss and Lynks FM will also be in the house.

Advance tickets are $35, at the door will be $40 – and are available from Sam’s W.I. Grocery, Aunt I’s, Rainbow Records, VP Records, Jahnets Restaurant and Reggaeland Music.
