Jamaica’s Olympic Champion Shelly Ann Fraser and Grammy Award Winning Inner Circle’s Lancelot Hall lead the “Hot Trot Jerk 5K Run/Walk”

SOUTH FLORIDA – Runners, athletes, and even couch potatoes from all over South Florida will all come together Sunday, November 3rd at 8:00 a.m., to kick off the inaugural “Hot Trot Jerk 5K Run/Walk” at Markham Park 16001 W. State Rd 84 in Sunrise.

Jamaica’s Olympic Champion Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce will be participating as a pace runner alongside world renowned Reggae band Inner Circle’s Lancelot Hall. The two will be demonstrating their support for Team Jamaica Bickle, a non-profit organization that provides accommodation, transportation and meals for Caribbean athletes at the annual Penn Relays.


The top male and female finisher will win a trip to Jamaica to participate in the 2013 Reggae Marathon in December and the top three male and female in age groups will also receive awards. Attendees can take advantage of the Health & Wellness Fair featuring booths by Publix Pharmacy and County Line Chiropractic Medical and Rehab Center.

Race participants will get to enjoy tasty snacks from Publix and a post-race celebration with prize presentations featuring DJ Barrie Hype.
