Jamaica’s Commerce Minister, Hon. Anthony Hylton, to keynote Jamaica USA Chamber of Commerce 10th Anniversary Celebration – May 16th

South Florida:  The Jamaica USA Chamber of Commerce (JAUSACC) will commemorate its tenth anniversary on May 16th with the power lunch keynote address to be given by Jamaica’s Minister of Industry, Investment & Commerce, Honorable Anthony Hylton.

The action packed celebration will commence with a Trade Jamaica-Invest Jamaica Forum, with representatives from JAMPRO, the Jamaica Exporters Association, Enterprise Florida, and the U.S. Small Business Administration.  The forum will provide information on trade and investment issues, concerns and opportunities, and the community is invited to register for the Trade Forum which will be presented free of cost from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.

The event will take place at Sheraton Airport Hotel at 1825 Griffin Rd. Dania Beach, Florida. Registration begins at 10:30am.

Highlight of the day-long celebration will be the Annual Recognition & Installation Luncheon when Minister Hylton will provide details on the Jamaica Logistic Hub, and how Jamaicans in the Diaspora can take advantage of those opportunities.  The Minister is also expected to highlight other economic projects that are proposed or underway in Jamaica.

“As we celebrate our tenth anniversary, we continue to focus on “Brand Jamaica” and how we may strengthen ties with the Jamaican government and with organizations like JAMPRO and the JEA to help businesses that need our support, and to promote the expansion of trade between Jamaica and the U.S.”, said JAUSACC president, Marie Gill.

Highlights of the May 16th celebration also will include a visit by His Excellency, C.P. Ricardo Allicock, Jamaica’s Ambassador to Japan.  Ambassador Allicock will be available to discuss business opportunities that may be pursued by Jamaican companies wanting to expand to the far east.

Held under the distinguished patronage of the Consulate General of Jamaica in Miami, the 10th Anniversary Celebration will hear remarks from Consul General Franz Hall, who is the honorary chairman of JAUSACC.
