MIAMI GARDENS – Prominent WAVS radio personality Winston Barnes, host of the popular talk show “Open Mike” on WAVS radio, will be joined by his brothers Jeff and Ed in an open forum entitled An Evening with Winston, Jeff & Ed Barnes – “Brothers in Broadcasting”.
This special evening will be an exchange of questions and answers and community discussions which takes place on Thursday, October 2, 6:00 to 9:00 pm at the Holy Family Episcopal Church Hall, 18501 N.W. Seventh Avenue, in Miami Gardens.
An Evening with Winston, Jeff & Ed Barnes is a follow up to the successful “Evening of Reasoning” held last April, when hundreds of listeners turned out to have a live discussion and an opportunity to pose personal questions to Winston. The idea of such a forum was in direct response to the many requests from his varied audience and listeners of his program to dedicate more time to talk with the community outside of the constraint of his talk show, in an informal setting.

This year, Winston will be joined by his older brother Jeff, who has been in radio since 1964 when he started at the Jamaica Broadcasting Corporation, and younger sportscaster brother Ed, also a veteran in his field.

Admission is free to the public and everyone is urged to be on time as seating will be on a first-come first-served basis.
