Jamaican Olympic Track and Field Multi-Gold Medalist Usain Bolt to make his first appearance on US Television

NEW YORK – Jamaican Olympic Men’s Track and Field phenomenon Usain Bolt, who took home three gold medals and broke three world records at the Summer Olympic Games in Beijing, talks about his accomplishments when he makes his first visit to the LATE SHOW with DAVID LETTERMAN, Thursday, Sept. 25.

This will be Bolt’s first U.S. talk show appearance and first appearance on late night television.

Bolt claimed the title of “Fastest Man Alive” after winning gold and breaking world and Olympic records in the Men’s 100 Meter final (9.69 seconds), the Men’s 200 Meter final (19.30 seconds) and, along with his Jamaican teammates, the Men’s 4×100 Meter relay (37.10 seconds).

Bolt became the first man in history to set world records in all three Track and Field events at a single Olympics and also the first man to win these three events at a single Olympics since U.S. Track and Field star Carl Lewis in 1984.

Bolt is yet another in the list of U.S. Olympic gold medalists from Beijing that will have visited the LATE SHOW.
