Jamaican Comedian, Oliver Samuels to Serve Divorce Papers in South Florida

SOUTH FLORIDA – “Basil Dawkins’ Divorce Papers Starring Oliver Samuels” is a cheeky comedy drama that explores the relationship of a mature couple Grace (played by Barbara McCalla and Ruth Ho Shing) and Augustus (Samuels) who are married for over 30 years.

The play opens with Augustus laying divorce papers on the living room table. And then all hell breaks loose. Accusations of infidelity are thrown from both sides and things spiral out of control with each partner settling into an affair with a lover of their choosing. Grace takes to her youthful bodybuilding lover-boy Wayne (Titus), whom she supports financially, while Augustus strikes up a frisky romance with his attorney’s gorgeous assistant Stacey (Maylynne Walton Lowe), who offers him a listening ear and a shoulder to cry on.

But is Stacey secretly expecting a big favour in return? Is Wayne a straight-shooter, who genuinely cares for Grace, or just an opportunist looking out for himself? Can Augustus and Grace find common ground amid the chaos to rekindle the passion on which they built their matrimonial home?
