Jamaican Children’s Heart Fund, Inc. and First Friday’s on a fund raising mission

HOLLYWOOD – Jamaican Children’s Heart Fund, Inc. (JCHF), a pediatric open heart surgical mission’s team, and First Friday’s Florida, has agreed to partner and raise funds to save the lives of indigent children in need of open heart surgery in Jamaica.

This partnership has come at a time when there is a need to increase the number of mission’s annually to Kingston, Jamaica. First Friday’s Florida has displayed heartfelt interest in making a difference, as the JCHF effort strikes close to home. The goal is to have no child die, while awaiting the arrival of a surgical team, especially those who have no financial means, to have that chance at life.

On Friday, February 2, 2007, First Friday’s and JCHF hosts Heart to Heart at the Raintree Golf Resort, 1600 South Hiatus Road, Pembroke Pines, to support JCHF’s Spring 2007 surgical mission, to take place on February 24th–March 4th. During this mission, ten children between the ages of 1-7 years, will receive this lifesaving surgery, at the University Hospital of the West Indies.

The JCHF surgical mission’s team, provides this surgery at no charge to the families and accepts no personal compensation. This surgical team is passionate about the wellbeing of children, and volunteers their personal vacation time, in addition to actively raising funds to save the lives of these children.

First Friday’s, along with JCHF are encouraging everyone to come out to this pre-Valentine’s event to support a very worthy effort. Supporters will have an opportunity to obtain information on the JCHF initiative, while dancing the night away to R&B, Soca, Reggae, oldies and more. As the party continues till 4am, there will be opportunities to win special Valentine’s Day giveaways.
