“By 1996 my images began to explore the social themes of nationalism, environment and religion. My work is continuously growing through transition. My new images are slightly surrealistic, rooted in realism – some elements, incongruously placed, might challenge the viewer and their perception,” says David.

Louis Davis holds a post-graduate diploma in mass communications from the University of West Indies, and a diploma in graphic design from the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale.

He has won awards in national competitions in Jamaica, and prizes from the Broward Art Guild’s competitions, and has exhibited his work in both Jamaica and Florida. He currently resides in Coral Springs, Florida.
