Jamaica Explores Direct Airlift From China
BEIJING – Jamaica’s Minister of Tourism, Hon Edmund along with his delegation met with Vice Minister Responsible for International Affairs, Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) Mr. Yang Guo Qing and his team during the recently held China Outbound Travel and Tourism Market (COTTM) in Beijing, China.
The meetings were held to discuss direct airlift to facilitate increasing number of visitors to Jamaica from China.
Accompanying the Minister were Mr. Heinz Simonitsch, JAMVAC Director; Ms. Carrole Guntley, Director General in the Ministry of Tourism (partly hidden); Hon. Edmund Bartlett; Jamaica’s Ambassador to China, His Excellency Wayne McCook; Mr. Basil Smith, Director of Tourism, Jamaica Tourist Board and Air Jamaica’s Vice President of Sales, Mr. George deMercado.
