Inner Circle’s Sweat (A La La La La Long) Hits Platinum in U.K.

MIAMI – Inner Circle’s enduring 1992 hit “Sweat (A La La La La Long)” has officially been certified Platinum in the U.K. after surpassing 600,000 combined sales and streaming units, marking another milestone for one of reggae’s most recognizable global anthems.
The Platinum certification adds to Inner Circle’s recent U.K. momentum, following “Bad Boys,” which earned Silver certification in December 2023 after exceeding 200,000 units.
“Sweat (A La La La La Long)” has also earned Gold certification in the United States from the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), along with Gold certifications in Austria and the Netherlands and Platinum status in Germany.

The song’s global reach continues across digital platforms, with its official music video topping 173 million YouTube views and the track surpassing 526 million streams on Spotify.
Upon its original release, “Sweat (A La La La La Long)” became an international chart force, peaking at No. 16 on the Billboard Hot 100, reaching No. 3 on the U.K. Singles Chart, and topping charts in multiple countries including the Netherlands, Portugal, Switzerland, Zimbabwe, Israel, and Belgium.
