Greater Caribbean American Chamber of Commerce to host “Talk To The Press About The Challenges Of Caribbean Americans”

DAVIE – The Greater Caribbean American Chamber of Commerce (GCACC) will host its annual ‘Lets Talk’ meet the Press Event on Wednesday August 16th from 6:30pm – 9:00pm at the Broward Community College Central Campus, building 19, Room 11 at 3501 SW Davie Rd. in Davie.

The event will feature a host of Panelist representing both American and Caribbean print and electronic media houses and will take the form of an open panel discussion.

The discussion is expected to focus on the challenges of Caribbean Americans as it relates to the Press, how they are affected and what can they do.

Attendees will also receive information about how businesses can benefit from advertising.

The moderator for the evening will be Michael L. Silva, Secretary of the South Florida Black Journalist Association and General Manager of WOCN 1450 AM in Miami.

“This is a great opportunity for the local Caribbean American Community to meet some of the faces behind the press and to dialogue with them on issues of importance and concerns to them,” says Lauderdale Lakes Commissioner Hazelle Rogers, the longest serving Caribbean American elected official in Broward County.

Admission is $5.00 for members of the Greater Caribbean American Chamber of Commerce and $7.00 for non-members.
