Greater Caribbean American Chamber of Commerce (GCACC) to hold forum on Business Development opportunities in Central Broward

LAUDERDALE LAKES – The Greater Caribbean American Chamber of Commerce (GCACC) in conjunction with the City of Lauderdale Lakes Commissioner, Hazelle Rogers will be presenting a “Community Reinvestment Forum” on Wednesday October 17th from 7:00pm at the Willie Webb Senior Lauderdale Lakes Community Center, 3601 N.W. 21st Street, in Lauderdale Lakes.

This Forum entitled “Opportunities Abundant” will focus on the rebuilding of Central Broward county and opportunities for business development in this challenging economic environment.

Topics to be discussed includes: City of Lauderdale Lakes Community Redevelopment Agency, Small Business Administration, information on Special Services Bonding Program, Work Opportunity Tax Credit, Affordable Housing (homestead and investment properties) and Safe Florida Housing Partners. Presenters and Partners include: The National Association of Real Estate Brokers, Community Redevelopment Associates (current legislation and grant opportunities), the Property Appraiser’s Office, South Florida Board of Realtists, Work Force One, Community Alliance for Family & Career Development and Don Meyler Inc (windstorm certification).

The event is open to Business Owners, local residents and other interested parties, and will also feature local businesses showcasing their goods and services. Business owners are encouraged to bring their business cards and to network with other businesses.

The cost is $5.00 for members of the Greater Caribbean American Chamber and $7.00 for non-members.
