Gospel in Jamaica with A. J. Brown airs on Gospel Rhythms TV

PEMBROKE PINES – In recognition on Jamaica’s 46th anniversary of Independence, local Gospel TV show, Gospel Rhythms will air a special two-part series entitled “A Celebration of Gospel in Jamaica” recorded on location in Jamaica.

Gospel Rhythms is aired on Saturdays in North
Miami on Channel 19 at 5 pm and Sundays in Broward County on Channel 79 in Pembroke Pines and Miramar at 8:30 am and Channel 76 in Central and North Broward at 4:30 pm. Viewers without Comcast Cable can watch the program online at www.gospelrhythms.org.

The first in the series, airing August 16 and 17 features internationally acclaimed singer A. J. Brown whose new CD, “Voice of Love,” features a mix of operatic and classic styles and includes the traditional gospel song “I’ll Walk with God.”

Viewers will enjoy his performances and interview which were recorded at the Moxon’s Beach Club in Ocho Rios. Also on the ticket are performances by the youth of Orangefield Pentecostal Church in Linstead, Jamaica.

The series continues the following week with scenes from the annual crusade at the Portmore Gospel Chapel featuring gospel reggae artists Minister Blessed, The Sons of the Prophet and Evangelist Errol Rattray. Gospel Rhythms uncovers hidden talent in Yallahs in the form of Chantal Lamonte and exposes the work of Caribbean Christian Publication, headquartered in Jamaica and supplying Sunday School materials for the entire Caribbean.

“A Celebration of Gospel in Jamaica,” sponsored locally by Jamaica National, Kareems Seafood Restaurant, and in Jamaica by Fisherman’s Point Hotel, Jamaica Association of Villas & Apartments and Moxon’s Beach Club in Ocho Rios, is the first in the “Gospel in the Islands” series that will feature both The Bahamas and St. Martin later this year.
