Gospel Complex for Education & Preservation gets support from Broward Black Elected
LAUDERHILL – On Wednesday, September 2, 2009 at the Central Broward Regional Park 3700 NW 11th Place in Lauderhill at 4pm the Board of Directors of the Gospel Complex for Education & Preservation, and the Broward Black Elected Officials, will be hosting a community kick-off for the “Brick-by-Brick” Campaign for the Gospel Complex for Education & Preservation, scheduled to break ground in early 2010.
Local leaders from the political, and religious sector such as, Senator Christopher Smith, District 29; Rep. Hazelle Rogers, District 94 Congressman Alcee Hastings, 23rd District, Commissioner Josephus Eggelletion, Jr., Broward County Commission, District 9, Albert Tucker, Vice President Multicultural Affairs, Greater Fort Lauderdale, Convention & Visitors Bureau, Germaine Smith-Baugh, CEO Urban League of Broward County, and more will come together to gather local community and corporate support for this long awaited ground breaking and completion of the GCEP.
Leaders from the community will discuss how families and individuals can be a part of history and at the same time support the development of the GCEP construction during the economic recovery of our area.
