Free Tax Seminar for real estate investors

MIRAMAR – Investing in real estate is big business in South Florida! It seems that almost everyone has tried their hand at investing in real estate. However, the tax implications have often not been considered and these investors may be paying more taxes in conjunction with their activities than may be necessary.

Real estate investors who have participated in pre-construction purchases, condo conversions, and land and rental property purchases need to understand the complex tax issues in purchasing, selling and holding each of these types of investment.

In January, Miami Dade and Broward Counties saw double-digit percentage drops in home sales and price increases stalled. Real estate agents sold 36 percent fewer Broward County houses than they did a year ago, and year-over-year sales dropped 28 percent in Miami-Dade, according to the Florida Association of Realtors. With the apparent burst of the real estate bubble, many investors are now contemplating cashing out of their investments.

To assist real estate investors in understanding how to keep more of the money that they make, the CPA firm of Paul H. Douglas, CPA P.A. is offering a free seminar entitled, “Tax Strategies for Real Estate Investors!”

This seminar will be held at 3350 SW 148th Avenue, Suite 135 in Miramar from 7pm – 8:30pm on Thursdays, March 16 and April 23, 2006.
