NEVIS, West Indies  Four Seasons Resort Nevis proudly announces the appointment of luxury hospitality expert and 25-year industry veteran Jim Bishop as Director of Sales. Bishop is a welcomed addition to the resort’s sales and marketing leadership team, which is now based in South Florida after a move from the sales office in New York City.

Bishop is no stranger to the Four Seasons brand, having worked at the iconic Four Seasons Hotel New York at the start of his career. Over the past 25 years, he has carved his niche in the luxury travel category. Most recently, he served as Director of Sales for the PGA National Resort & Spa in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Previously, he served as the Maybourne Hotel Group’s Regional Director of Sales for the Americas, overseeing all aspects of the division’s sales office in New York City and representing the company’s three London hotels: Claridge’s, the Connaught and the Berkeley. Before joining Maybourne, he held senior sales positions with Mandarin Oriental, first for the Washington, D.C. property and later for the Miami location. Bishop’s previous career experience also includes senior sales roles with Bellagio Las Vegas, KSL Resorts and the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York City.

“Jim brings a broad base of expertise and client relationships, both in the group and transient segments, to our sales and marketing team,” said Nicole LaValette, Director of Marketing for Four Seasons Resort Nevis. “The timing of his appointment is ideal as we have recently transitioned to our new South Florida office and are preparing for the resort’s upcoming 25th anniversary. We are confident in Jim’s abilities and are eager to introduce him to our Caribbean gem in Nevis and welcome him to the team  during this milestone year.”

Bishop earned a bachelor of arts from Penn State University. He lives in South Florida with his wife, Susan, who is also a member of the Four Seasons family, and their two kids, Olivia and Quinn.
