Fly JetBlue to Jamrock: Now Offering Twice Daily Service from Fort Lauderdale to Kingston, Jamaica

FORT LAUDERDALE – JetBlue Airways (Nasdaq: JBLU) today launched twice daily service from Florida’s Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) to Norman Manley International Airport (KIN) in Kingston, Jamaica.  To celebrate the launch of its new service, customers can book travel between Fort Lauderdale and Kingston today through Saturday, May 5, 2012 at www.jetblue.com/new for as low as $99 one way for travel May 7 to June 14, 2012 (a).  
 
“Jamaicans have warmly embraced JetBlue’s friendly customer service and value-focused in-flight offerings, including complimentary entertainment on personal seatback TVs, roomy leather seats and free snacks and drinks,” said Scott Laurence, JetBlue’s vice president of network planning and partnerships.  “Thanks to their continued support our presence in Jamaica and throughout the Caribbean will continue to grow.”

From Fort Lauderdale, Jamaicans also have convenient connecting flights onwards to Austin, TX; the New York metro area (LaGuardia, Newark or Westchester County); and Richmond, Va.
 
JetBlue has consistently grown its service in the Commonwealth since its launch in 2009, and the airline will be operating up to seven daily flights from Jamaica this summer. The new Fort Lauderdale to Kingston service complements JetBlue’s existing daily service from the island’s capital and largest city to New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK).  In addition, JetBlue also flies nonstop year-round from Montego Bay to JFK and Orlando as well as to Boston seasonally.

Fort Lauderdale service is operated by a combination of JetBlue’s fleet of 100-seat Embraer E190 aircraft — offering two-by-two, comfortable all-leather seating — as well as the 150-seat Airbus A320. The airline’s customers also enjoy a first-checked bag free (b), award-winning customer service and unlimited, complimentary snacks and drinks.
