Florida Medical Center Sponsors 19th Annual “First There First Care” EMS Conference

Ft. Lauderdale – Florida Medical Center, a campus of North Shore, serves as the Diamond Sponsor of the  “First There First Care” Emergency Medical Services Conference.

The annual event was held at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood and was hosted by The Fire Chiefs’ Association of Broward County and the Broward Regional EMS Council. The conference attracted hundreds of paramedics, EMTs, nurses and other healthcare professionals.

“A first responder’s role is crucial in the initial treatment of patients during a medical crisis,” said Gabrielle Finley-Hazle, CEO of Florida Medical Center. “We recognize the importance of these men and women and look forward to supporting each other in our joint mission to save lives.”

As part of the hospital’s sponsorship, Dr. Louis Isaacson, medical director of emergency services, delivered a presentation titled “Technology You Need to Know” and also covered information on Florida Medical Center’s Heart Institute of Florida, Comprehensive Stroke Center and the hospital’s Freestanding Emergency Care Center in Davie.
