Florida Gubernatorial Candidate Alex Sink Excites Caribbean American Voters at Rally

Pembroke Pines – Democratic gubernatorial candidate Alex Sink continued her statewide tour and early vote rallies with a stop at popular Pembroke Pines Caribbean-owned restaurant, Casa Chanpet, on Thursday to excite and encourage various elected officials and community leaders who endorsed her campaign before the elections on November 2nd.

State Representative Joe Gibbons led the gathering of business persons, union members, and restaurant patrons. Attorney Marlon Hill recognized the diverse group of citizens of Caribbean heritage supporting Alex Sink, including business and community leaders, Barron Channer (Jamaica), Roxanne Valies (Suriname), Francois Leconte, Aude Sicard and Winnie Cantave (Haiti), Giselle “D’ Wassi One” Blanche, Francis Ragoo, and Jerry Nagee (Trinidad & Tobago), and Robert Vaughan (Jamaica).

Commissioner Dale Holness of Lauderhill introduced Alex Sink and spoke of her commitment to working diligently to get our economy moving again. He also spoke of her intentions to pursue greater trade relations the Caribbean and Latin America.

The early vote rally also welcomed State Representative Mack Bernard of West Palm Beach, North Miami Beach Councilman Frantz Pierre, Representative-Elect Daphne Campbell, former Miramar Commissioner George Pedlar, Broward County Democratic Party Chairman Mitch Cesar, and Pembroke Pines mayor, Frank Ortis.
