Understanding Transition Options — Preparing for the Future

    • When: On November 12, 2019 at 10:30 AM
    • Where: Jewish Federation of Broward County Katz Building
    • Notes:

When children with developmental disabilities age out of the school system, parents often describe feeling as though they have fallen off a cliff. All the supports and resources that were in place throughout childhood are now gone. This workshop helps families prepare for their child’s future by identifying different transition options and guiding them to appropriate community resources that can help support their adult children.

The seminar is free and open to the community. Presented by Joshua’s Path at Goodman JFS of Broward County. The Joshua’s Path program supports, educates and empowers adults with developmental disabilities, their parents, siblings and other caregivers by providing free consultations, a searchable website, resources and educational seminars. For more information, please contact Sharlene Glassman, Joshua’s Path Caregiver Support and Education Manager, at 954-909-0822 or visit www.jfsbroward.org.
