Lauderhill is set to turn up the island pride this summer as the 64th Jamaican Independence Celebration brings a powerhouse night of reggae, culture and community to the Lauderhill Performing Arts Center on Saturday, Aug. 8, 2026, at 6 p.m.
The star-studded lineup will be led by dancehall titan Beenie Man and reggae icon Marcia Griffiths, two of Jamaica’s most enduring global ambassadors.
The bill also features performances by Mikey Spice, Shuga, Empress Uneek, and Mical Rustle Mustle, rounding out an evening built to showcase the sound, style and spirit of Jamaican music.
Presented by Mayor Denise D. Grant and Commissioner John T. Hodgson, the event is positioned as a marquee South Florida celebration for residents, visitors and reggae fans looking to mark the occasion with world-class performances and authentic Jamaican vibes.

- VIP: Includes premium seating and admission to the star-studded afterparty.
- Tier 1, Tier 2 & Tier 3: Choose the seat and price point that works best for the show. Afterparty admission may be purchased separately.
- Afterparty: For guests attending the party only. Entry begins at 11 p.m.
