Dr. Bobby Jones presents HOT Gospel JAMS Weekend 2006

FT. LAUDERDALE – Dr. Bobby Jones International Gospel Industry Retreat has partnered with Broward County Public Schools and the 100 Black Men of Greater Fort Lauderdale to bring a two-day event to our community.

Hot Gospel Jams Weekend takes place November 10 -11 and will celebrate family and education through gospel music.

This music-themed event, where high school students will learn about opportunities in the music industry, commences on Friday, November 10 at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts.

A private VIP reception will begin at 6:00 p.m. followed by an evening show at 8:00 p.m. The concert features performances by Dr. Bobby Jones, A-7, Canton Jones, Lil Irroc, and a special guest performer. These performers will captivate the audience with their vocal and musical skills ranging from traditional gospel to gospel hip-hop.

The weekend continues with Family Fun Day and Fort Lauderdale’s first Gospel Idol contest on Saturday, November 11 at Esplanade Park adjacent to the Broward Center, from 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

The day will feature educational/professional development seminars, a voter registration drive, and music concerts in addition to the premier talent competition for gospel music.

There will be plenty of food, vendors, and give-a-ways for the entire family to enjoy. The premier talent show, Gospel Idol 2006, will allow aspiring artists the opportunity to compete for a coveted television appearance and produce a professional recording.

This rewarding event is a must see for all.

Local radio stations, NewsTalk 1080 AM, HOT 105 FM, and WEDR 99 JAMZ will be giving away tickets, courtesy of the 100 Black Men of Greater Fort Lauderdale and JM Family Enterprises, Inc.
