Consulate General of Jamaica in Miami appeals for assistance for needy Jamaican

MIAMI – The Consulate General of Jamaica in Miami wishes to bring to your attention the plight of a Jamaican national named Mrs. Carolyn Simpson who is in need of assistance.

Mrs. Simpson has a severe liver condition which can only be rectified by way of a liver transplant. Fortunately, there is a highly reputable surgeon who has offered to perform the procedure free of cost.

However, the doctor is, ethically, restricted from performing the transplant until the medical authorities can be assured that the medication required to keep the new liver healthy can be accessed and afforded by the patient post operation.

The estimated monthly bill is US$4,500 and is expected that this cost needs to be met for at least 12 months. Naturally, Mrs. Simpson who has modest circumstances, cannot maintain this financial requirement on her own.

Consequently, the Jamaican Consulate is issuing an appeal on her behalf. Please notify the Consulate if you wish to assist in this cause.

Thank you for your interest.

Sincerely

C.P. Ricardo Allicock
Consul General
